Job summary

Farnsworth Group, Inc. is seeking a Plumbing Project Engineer to lead plumbing design across building systems and act as a project driver from concept through construction administration.

You will develop calculations, drawings, and specifications, coordinating with architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and fire protection disciplines while mentoring junior staff and supporting client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• PE or CPD preferred (license/certification).
• Typically 8–12+ years of plumbing design experience in the consulting engineering/A&E industry.

Responsibilities

• Lead plumbing system design for various building projects from concept through construction administration.
• Develop calculations, specs, drawings, and details for domestic water, sanitary, storm drainage, and related systems.
• Coordinate plumbing design with architecture, structural, MEP disciplines for integrated delivery.
• Serve as a technical resource for clients, project teams, and internal staff through all project phases.
• Review scope, budget, and schedule and help manage deliverables to meet client expectations.
• Perform field observations, existing conditions evaluations, and construction administration activities.
