Job summary

Amazon Web Services is hiring a Senior Product Design Electrical Engineer for our Electrical Products and Services team within AWS Data Center Engineering. You will lead the design, development, and qualification of power distribution equipment across data centers, collaborating with internal engineers and external suppliers to deliver resilient, cost-effective solutions.

The role requires deep knowledge of electrical infrastructure, cross-functional leadership, and willingness to travel

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• 6+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in data centers or critical facilities.
• Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Experience developing solutions and executing plans on complex projects.
• Experience reading construction drawings, specs, and submittals.

Responsibilities

• Lead new product design and qualification of electrical power distribution equipment for AWS data centers.
• Develop Capex and Opex budgets with vendors and prototyping needs.
• Coordinate with global suppliers to ensure supply chain resiliency.
• Ensure compliance with UL, CSA, IEC and applicable building codes.
• Test and validate installation, operation, and performance with field teams.
