Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is hiring a Senior Product Design Electrical Engineer for the EPS team in Austin, TX. You will drive design, development and qualification of electrical power distribution equipment for AWS data centers, collaborating with internal and external teams to ensure reliability and cost effectiveness.

You will lead design validation, coordinate budgets, and work with global suppliers to maintain supply chain resiliency and compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field required.
• 6+ years of industrial or commercial engineering experience in mission critical facilities.
• Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Experience developing solutions and executing plans on complex projects.
• Experience researching new designs, technologies and construction methods.

Responsibilities

• Lead new product design, development and qualification of electrical power distribution equipment for AWS data centers.
• Develop Capex and Opex budgets with vendors and prototyping needs.
• Coordinate with global suppliers to ensure supply chain resiliency.
• Ensure compliance with UL, CSA, IEC and codes; conduct testing.
• Validate designs through DFx, prototypes, pre-production and builds.
• Collaborate with field engineering for installation, operation and performance testing.
