Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join a global engineering team responsible for the design and continuous innovation of our rapidly expanding data center footprint. You will design resilient electrical distribution systems and drive uptime, cost, and quality across multiple sites while partnering with utilities, vendors, and internal teams.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including data centers or similar.
• Knowledge of critical data center mechanical/electrical equipment.
• Experience reading and creating construction drawings, specs, and submittals.
• Experience with data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Data center electrical designs and collaboration to create a construction document set.
• Create designs that meet quality requirements and stay within budget.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and municipal codes.
• Review and approve equipment submittals.
• Define project scope and provide technical support pre- and during construction.
• Coordinate with commissioning teams to test and validate installation, operation, and performance.
• Manage concurrent projects across multiple regions and sites.
• Travel to sites for site reviews and collaboration with field engineers.
