Job summary

Ryan Companies US, Inc. is seeking a Senior Electrical Preconstruction Manager to lead preconstruction and estimating activities for National Mission Critical projects in Chicago.

You will create cost models, review staff estimates, train teams, and drive value analysis for Electrical scopes. The role requires a 10+ year track record in commercial/electrical construction (data center experience preferred) and proficiency with DESTINI Estimator, Excel, OST, and Bluebeam.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management (or equivalent work experience).
• At least 10 years of proven experience in the commercial/electrical construction industry (Mission Critical Data Center experience preferred).
• Experience in preconstruction and estimating leadership, cost modeling, and value analysis.

Responsibilities

• Work with project managers to develop conceptual and detailed estimates for the Electrical Scope at varying design stages.
• Scope, compare and select subcontractors based on best value and project requirements.
• Solicit subcontractor pricing and evaluate for budgeting and bid proposals.
• Perform quantity take-offs of all Electrical systems.
• Record final estimates and maintain cost history.
• Provide preconstruction expertise including value design, costs, schedule, procurement, and pursuits.
