Job summary

Commonwealth Fusion Systems LLC is seeking an Electrical Engineer to drive design and testing of high power electrical systems for our SPARC power distribution. You will coordinate with R&D, physics, construction, manufacturing, software, and commissioning teams to ensure high-quality design releases align with project timelines.

The role requires 5+ years of experience in electrical distribution systems, MV/LV design, and energy storage, with strong communication and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical distribution systems or battery-based systems.
• 5+ years of related experience in electrical design and power systems.
• Experience with MV & LV systems, power conversion and energy storage.
• Ability to lead electrical work packages and coordinate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Execute installation and testing of complex high power electrical systems for SPARC’s power system.
• Develop technical requirements for vendor electrical equipment based on simulations.
• Develop and implement test methods to qualify electrical designs.
• Lead installation, test and handover for electrical designs.
• Interface with cross-functional teams to meet requirements.
• Support vendor coordination and procurement.
