Job summary

Hyper Solutions seeks a Senior Electrical Systems Engineer to design, specify, and support power distribution for hyperscale data centers and mission-critical environments. You will collaborate with Sales, Applications Engineering, Project Management, and Manufacturing to translate complex requirements into scalable, reliable electrical architectures.

Remote or onsite in our Richmond office, travel up to 30% will be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 10+ years of experience in electrical power systems, preferably data centers or mission-critical environments.
• Strong understanding of medium-voltage and low-voltage distribution systems.
• Experience reviewing electrical one-line diagrams, specifications, and design documentation.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience working with major OEM platforms.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage customer-facing technical engagements and multiple projects.
• Willingness to travel up to 30%.

Responsibilities

• Review customer specifications, one-line diagrams, and Basis of Design documents.
• Design and support medium-voltage and low-voltage power distribution systems.
• Translate customer and AI workload requirements into scalable electrical architectures.
• Serve as the primary technical point of contact through the project lifecycle.
• Lead customer meetings, technical reviews, and design walkthroughs.
• Provide technical training and knowledge transfer on system operation and architecture.
• Develop technical proposals, quotations, and submittals with Sales and Applications Engineering.
• Support RFP responses, presentations, and tender documentation.
• Participate in customer site visits and technical evaluations.
• Coordinate with Project Management and Manufacturing on scope, deliverables, and schedules.
