Job summary

The Prince George’s County Department of Permitting, Inspections and Enforcement (DPIE) is seeking a senior-level professional to analyze electrical engineering construction plans, schematics, and specifications for regulatory compliance. The role may lead complex reviews requiring advanced engineering principles, with independent judgment under department policies.

Applicants should have a relevant engineering degree, substantial professional plans review experience, and ICC electrical plan

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field and at least three (3) years of professional plans review work.
• Seven (7) years of professional experience in construction, electrical, mechanical, or fire prevention work which includes three (3) years of professional plans review work.
• ICC electrical plan review certification.

Responsibilities

• Reviews plans, documents, and projects to determine compliance with codes and standards.
• Reads and interprets engineering plans and specifications to identify discrepancies and ensure compliance.
