Zusammenfassung

Prince George's County Government's Department of Permitting, Inspections and Enforcement is seeking candidates for an entry‑level to full‑performance professional in technical plan review. You will evaluate construction plans, drawings and permit applications for compliance with building, fire, accessibility, life safety codes and county regulations.

Minimum qualifications include a bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field and four years of professional experience.

Qualifikationen

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related scientific field.
Four (4) years of professional experience in construction, electrical, mechanical, or fire prevention work.
Any equivalent combination of relevant training, education and experience may also be considered.
ICC Certification within one (1) year of employment is preferred.
Be a licensed architect or PE is preferred.

Aufgaben

Reviews architectural, building, fire protection, and life safety plans for compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
Plan review assignments may include evaluating structural systems, occupancy classifications, construction types, means of egress, fire-resistance, accessibility, and other building and fire/life safety requirements.
