Job summary

Collins Aerospace seeks aSenior Manufacturing Engineer - Electrical/Mechanical at our Phoenix, AZ site to translate design requirements into robust manufacturing processes and build-ready documentation. You will drive cost estimates, lead process-improvement projects, and manage change requests to enhance safety and product quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in STEM and 5+ years relevant experience, or advanced degree with 3+ years.
• Experience with electrical/electronic testing.
• Experience with tool/fixture design and maintenance.
• Experience with CAD Design / review (Electrical and/or mechanical).
• Experience with Test equipment introduction, qualification, troubleshooting and repair.

Responsibilities

• Translate engineering design requirements, repairs, and upgrades into formal manufacturing process documentation.
• Create Basis of Estimates (BOE) to estimate costs to add capacity, new capabilities and equipment obsolescence.
• Lead projects to reduce processing time and/or improve quality yield through analysis of metrics trends and failure modes.
• Initiate, monitor and manage Engineering Change Requests to drive changes for improved processes, safety and products.
• Assist in non-routine fault isolation, diagnosis and repair of product or test equipment.
• Perform risk assessments and support program risk register reviews.
• Lead projects and own execution.
• Create and maintain SAP work centers, routings and BOMs.
• Create and maintain build instructions, tooling, guides
