Job summary

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory seeks an experienced Senior Electrical & Materials Technician to support Knolls SES RPI&C lab infrastructure, qualify test systems, and help develop the next generation of nuclear propulsion test capabilities. You will perform test coordination, calibration, and safety-compliant maintenance in a fast-paced lab environment.

Applicants should have a strong background in electrical hardware, control systems, and hands-on fabrication, with experience reading schematics

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 5+ years relevant experience, or an Associate degree with 5+ years, or Journeyman papers with 5+ years, or Naval Nuclear Propulsion Operator qualification with 5+ years, or a Bachelor's with 3+ years.

Responsibilities

• Execute common laboratory functions: support testing and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate and perform periodic facility tests and preventative maintenance.
• Maintain and modernize lab test systems and test articles.
• Manage calibration of test equipment and inventories.
• Develop less senior personnel in the organization.
