Job summary

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory seeks an experienced Senior Electrical & Materials Technician at the Knolls site to support the RPI&C test systems and lab infrastructure. You will help maintain and modernize test infrastructure, coordinate calibrations, and guide junior staff in a fast-paced lab environment.

Requirements include a strong background in lab testing, control systems, and fabrication, with multiple pathways (diploma/degree/qualifications) outlined in the posting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 7+ years of relevant experience or related degrees with required years of experience, as stated.
• Associate degree with 5+ years, Journeyman papers with 5+ years, Naval Nuclear Propulsion Operator qualification with 5+ years, or Bachelor's with 3+ years.

Responsibilities

• Execute common laboratory functions to support testing and maintenance.
• Perform periodic facility tests and preventative maintenance.
• Maintain and modernize lab test systems and test articles.
• Coordinate calibration of test equipment and inventories.
• Develop less senior personnel in the organization.
