Job summary

DEPCOM Power, part of Koch Engineered Solutions, seeks a Lead Electrical Engineer to guide utility-scale PV and Battery Energy Storage Systems EPC projects. You will own electrical designs, calculations, and documentation from concept through construction, commissioning and closeout.

The role requires leadership in design reviews, strong knowledge of NEC/NFPA 70E, and collaboration with procurement and field teams. Occasional travel up to 15% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with electrical power systems experience.
• Experience in construction, EPC projects, utility-scale PV solar, Energy Storage, or power systems engineering.
• Knowledge of the National Electrical Code, NFPA 70E and industry standards.
• Experience developing or reviewing electrical drawings, design studies, specifications, and calculations.
• Willing to travel up to 15% to project sites or vendor facilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design development for PV and Energy Storage projects from preliminary design through IFC.
• Own the technical quality and completeness of drawing packages, calculations, and studies.
• Make sound technical decisions based on codes, design criteria, and site constraints.
• Ensure design packages are constructible and aligned with project strategy.
• Lead or review loss analyses, grounding studies, arc flash assessments, and power system studies.
• Provide technical leadership for specifications, bills of materials, and vendor evaluations.
• Support construction, commissioning, FATs, RFIs, and field issue resolution.
