Job summary

DEPCOM Power, a Koch Engineered Solutions company, seeks a Lead Electrical Engineer to head utility-scale PV and Battery Energy Storage Systems EPC projects. This role may sit in Scottsdale, AZ or Bedminster, NJ, leading design, quality, and engineering decisions from early design through construction and closeout.

You will mentor engineers, drive technical design leadership, calculations, and vendor support, coordinating with construction teams to ensure NEC, NFPA 70E, and industry standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with power systems experience.
• Experience in utility-scale PV solar, Energy Storage, or EPC projects.
• Knowledge of NEC/NESC/NFPA 70E and related standards.
• Willing to travel up to 15% to project sites or vendor facilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design development for PV and energy storage projects from design through IFC.
• Own the technical quality and completeness of drawings, studies, and calculations.
• Make sound technical decisions based on project requirements and codes.
• Ensure packages are constructible and aligned with execution strategy.
• Provide technical leadership for specifications, BOMs, and vendor evaluation.
• Support procurement with risk and constructability insights.
• Offer timely technical support during construction and commissioning.
• Mentor engineers through design reviews and explanations of methods.
• Communicate risks and recommendations to stakeholders.
