Job summary

Vaagen Bros. Lumber Inc., a family-owned wood products manufacturer in northeastern Washington, is seeking an experienced electrical leader in Usk.

The role manages the electrical team, oversees maintenance, calibration, and programming of controls, and drives lean improvements across production lines. Ideal candidates bring 2+ years in electrical design/management, familiarity with Allen Bradley RSLogix/RSView/FTView, and a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

Electrical certification or degree preferred.
Knowledge of motor theory, including synchronous motors.
Experience with 4-20 mA instrumentation, servo and positioning systems.
2+ years in electrical design, layout, logic controls, and project management.
2+ years in a manufacturing environment; lumber industry a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead electrical team in Usk; manage time clocks, performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and training.
Design, program, install and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment and control systems.
Maintain wiring schematics, blueprints, and instrument specifications.
Develop and implement control-system programming for increased automation and efficiency.
Coach and mentor team members; promote safety and lean practices.
