Job summary

Status Staffing seeks a qualified Electrical Engineering professional to oversee production teams, manage BOMs, and drive manufacturing efficiency. You will handle procurement, quality control, and training while ensuring safety and strict adherence to company policies.

The role requires Red Seal and an Electrical Engineering background, with strong PLC, wiring, and CAD-related skills, plus willingness to travel as needed for project support.

Qualifications

• N6 National Diploma in Electrical Engineering
• Red Seal with a 3 Phase Wireman's License (advantageous)
• Experience in wiring, PLC programming, electrical drawings, and electrical maintenance
• Must be qualified, have own transport, and hold a Red Seal qualification

Responsibilities

• Manage production staff and oversee their daily activities; cost new designs and establish BOM, process data, and layouts for manufacturing
• Continuously assess raw material prices from suppliers and sub-contractors
• Approve orders for all bulk materials based on stock levels and forecasts
• Control quality costs and conduct final inspection and approval of products
• Ensure staff are trained and qualified; identify training needs
• Foster improved communication and coordination throughout the company
