Job summary
Waabi is seeking a senior hardware engineering leader to guide high-performance embedded compute and power distribution for autonomous vehicle hardware. You will mentor engineers, drive manufacturability and testability, and manage CM relationships through NPI cycles while collaborating with OEMs to integrate hardware into vehicle platforms.
You will ensure automotive-grade reliability and safety standards, including ISO 26262, with a roadmap for long-term field performance in a fast-growing AI
Qualifications
- BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- 10+ years in hardware development with mentoring/leadership experience.
- Deep PCB design expertise, high-speed signaling, and thermal management for AV compute.
- Strong power distribution and DC-DC conversion for compute/sensor loads.
- Fluent with automotive production practices (PPAP, APQP).
Responsibilities
- Lead the electrical engineering team, setting technical direction and mentoring engineers.
- Drive Design for Manufacturability and Design for Testability across hardware iterations.
- Own CM relationships during NPI cycles, audits, and production bottlenecks.
- Partner with OEMs to translate supplier requirements into engineering specs.
- Uphold ISO 26262 and AEC-Q100 standards for long-term reliability.
