Job summary

Waabi in Pittsburgh is seeking an Electrical Engineer to transform our custom electronics from design files into road-ready hardware. You will work with contract manufacturers to build, validate, program and assemble boards for our autonomous vehicles, and create test fixtures to support verification and validation.

This onsite role requires 3–4 days on site. A BS/MS in Electrical Engineering and 10+ years of hardware development experience, including 2–3 years in leadership, are expected.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering with 10+ years hardware development experience.
• 2–3 years in a formal leadership role leading hardware projects.
• Experience coordinating with contract manufacturers and QA teams.
• Hands-on lab skills and willingness to solder, test, and troubleshoot.

Responsibilities

• CM Coordination: shepherd builds with contract manufacturers through fabrication and scheduling.
• Incoming Inspection & Assembly: monitor quality, perform or supervise rework and hand-assembly.
• Inventory Management: track components and boards and manage reorders.
• End-of-Line Debug: diagnose and resolve board- and vehicle-level issues.
• Test Fixture Design & V&V: design end-of-line fixtures and validate designs under tests.
