Job summary

Waabi seeks an experienced Systems Engineer for its Embedded Systems team to translate a vehicle safety concept into a robust embedded architecture and hardware/software allocation. You will own the embedded safety concept, derive technical requirements, and ensure traceability from safety goals through to hardware and software.

You will collaborate with the systems and safety groups, define the HSIs, manage traceability, and ensure alignment with ISO 26262, SOTIF, cybersecurity, and ASPICE

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 8+ years in embedded systems with hardware and software depth.
• Experience with ISO 26262 at system-design level and handoffs.
• Familiarity with automotive standards like SOTIF, 21434, ASPICE, ASPICE.
• Strong requirements management and traceability practices.

Responsibilities

• Partner with systems and safety groups; translate vehicle safety concepts to embedded requirements.
• Own embedded technical safety concept and allocate requirements across architecture elements.
• Architect across hardware and software; define HSIs and coherent partitioning.
• Manage requirements traceability from safety goals to hardware/software specs.
• Steward compliance with automotive standards and fold into daily work.
• Support V&V efforts and DIAs with OEMs and suppliers without owning test execution.
