Henderson Engineers, Inc. in Houston, TX, is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer/Designer to lead complex power and lighting systems for mission-critical/data center projects. You’ll mentor teams, ensure design quality, coordinate with clients and project teams, and contribute to practice strategy and business development.

The role emphasizes advanced technical leadership, adherence to codes, and delivering innovative, reliable solutions for high-growth markets across the country.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, fire protection, or architectural engineering.
• 12+ years of relevant experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is strongly preferred, required for EORs.
• MEP/Construction industry experience and strong software proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering design from concept through completion for complex or large-scale projects.
• Direct or oversee the preparation of design documents, system layouts, drawings, schematics, and specs.
• Develop solutions to advanced engineering problems with discipline-wide guidance.
• Mentor and coach across teams, supervise junior designers and engineers.
• Participate in staffing, training, and technical strategy development.
• Provide quality oversight and final reviews to ensure standards compliance.
• Communicate with clients, resolve conflicts, and support business development.
• Lead or support strategic client relationships and project pursuits.
