You will drive design from concept to completion, mentor teams, and ensure technical rigor while supporting business development and client relationships. The role emphasizes leading design, coordinating documents, overseeing quality reviews, and applying industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field (electrical, mechanical, fire protection, or architectural)
• 9+ years of relevant experience
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is strongly preferred, required for EORs
• Additional technical certifications (e.g., RCDD, NICET, CPD, LEED, WELL) highly preferred
• Advanced to expert proficiency in electrical engineering design, applicable codes and standards, Revit, Bluebeam, and construction processes
• MEP/Construction Industry experience
• High technical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and engineering design software
• Clear communication and willingness to ask questions
• Accountability, reliability, and ethical behavior
• Commitment to accuracy and quality
• Collaboration and receptiveness to feedback

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering design from concept through completion for complex or large-scale projects
• Direct or oversee the preparation of design documents, system layouts, detailed drawings, schematics, and specifications
• Develop solutions to advanced and highly complex engineering problems, providing discipline-wide technical guidance
• Serve as a mentor and coach across teams and practices, supervising less experienced designers and engineers
• Participate in staffing recommendations, training initiatives, and technical strategy development
• Provide quality oversight, including final quality reviews to ensure compliance with standards and best practices
• Communicate with clients, resolve conflicts, and provide leadership in responding to technical questions or design challenges
• Lead or support strategic business development efforts and maintain key client relationships
• Serve as Engineer of Record when assigned, ensuring technical accuracy and adherence to standards
