Job summary

Reworld is seeking an Instrument & Controls Technician to manage all phases of electrical and control equipment across the plant. You will troubleshoot DCS systems, PLCs, VFDs, sensors, meters, and burner management systems, calibrating instrumentation and updating preventive maintenance.

Flexibility for on-call, shift work, and cross-discipline tasks is required. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of hands-on experience in industrial settings, familiarity with Omron and Allen-Bradley PLCs, and

Qualifications

5+ years of hands-on experience with electronic/electrical and pneumatic systems in an industrial setting.
Energy from Waste or Power Plant experience is desirable.
Familiarity with PLCs and DCS systems.
Ability to troubleshoot instrumentation and controls and understand interaction in process.
Calibrate pressure, flow, temperature and other instrumentation (Rosemount).
Read electrical prints & P&IDs and interpret control diagrams.
Proficient with test equipment and calibration tools.
Knowledge of Ethernet plant control systems and HMI software (Citect).

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain instrument and control test, calibration and repair areas and equipment.
Assist in redesigning instrumentation, control and electrical systems as needed.
Monitor burning and safety procedures as applicable.
Perform general duties to ensure safe, clean, and efficient plant operation.
Be a safety-conscious team player willing to cross-train on related disciplines.
