Job summary

College of Western Idaho is seeking a Director of Business & Manufacturing Programs in Nampa, ID. This full-time role oversees the Electrical apprenticeship program, coordinates instructors, and ensures quality training, assessment, and curriculum delivery across the department.

You will manage resources, work with program directors, and support workforce development initiatives, with emphasis on up-to-date instruction, flexible delivery modes, and adherence to state and national guidelines.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate course material clearly to adult learners.
• Experience teaching adults in an education or training setting.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Proficient with a laptop and Microsoft Office suite.
• Flexible with scheduling and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Electrical course content as per syllabus and ensure student-focused instruction.
• Prepare current instructional materials and use required technology for delivery.
• Ensure program activities follow applicable policies and guidelines.
• Evaluate teaching effectiveness through observations and feedback.
• Train instructors on modalities (hyflex, asynchronous) and LMS usage.
• Manage supplies and respond to issues per policies.
• Teach courses at various times/locations, including evenings.
• Support curriculum optimization and program improvements.
• Represent CWI values in conduct.
