Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company in Columbia, SC is seeking a Senior Electrical Instrumentation & I&C Engineer to design, optimize, and reliability of instrumentation, control systems, and electrical systems supporting manufacturing processes. You will report to the Design Engineering and Planned Modifications Manager and be located at the Columbia facility.

This role is 100% onsite, with collaboration across Operations, Maintenance, and Reliability Engineering to deliver safe, efficient energy

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
4+ years of industrial or manufacturing experience.
Expertise in instrumentation, controls, and power systems.
Experience with DCS/PLC platforms.
Knowledge of electrical distribution systems and process control principles.

Responsibilities

Support upgrade projects involving I&C and power activities.
Implement rapid response plant modifications from the design phase through installation and startup.
Perform engineering design and analysis and propose solutions to complex problems.
Coordinate and direct the efforts of designers and craft personnel during implementation of projects.
Create project schedules and budgets. Track progress and spending.
Develop scopes of work and bid packages.
Support and work with other plant groups including Operations, Maintenance, Work Management and Reliability Engineering.
Participate in hazard and safety analysis reviews.
