Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking an Electrician to install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical components and controls of plant equipment at the Columbia Fuel Fabrication Facility in Hopkins, South Carolina. This 100% onsite role reports to the E&I Team Manager and emphasizes safety, quality and reliability.

Qualified candidates bring industrial electrical experience, a high school diploma or GED, and 1+ year in maintenance or industrial electrical work.

Qualifications

• Industrial electrical experience required.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year maintenance/industrial electrician experience.
• Knowledge of local and national electrical codes.
• Certificate or associate degree from Industrial Electricity Program.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair solid state, relay-based, and air logic control systems.
• Install and repair switches, junction boxes, wire, control panels, multiple AC & DC motors, generators, and controllers.
• Install, maintain and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers and multiple equipment control systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on all electrical systems.
• Diagnose equipment trouble and make necessary repairs.
• Install and repair electrical distribution systems.
• Read and update electrical schematics.
• Know and apply local and national electrical code.
• Maintain equipment and leave work area in a clean condition.
• Follow accountability, criticality, safety, security and hygiene procedures.
• Perform traceability function.
