Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company seeks a Senior Electrical Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to ensure reliability of instrumentation, control and electrical systems supporting manufacturing processes. The role reports to the Design Engineering and Planned Modifications Manager and is 100% onsite at the Columbia, SC facility.

Responsibilities include upgrading I&C and power projects, creating schedules and bid packages, and coordinating designers and crafts during implementation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years industrial/manufacturing experience.
• Expertise in instrumentation, controls, and power systems.
• Experience with DCS/PLC platforms.
• Knowledge of electrical distribution and process control principles.

Responsibilities

• Support upgrade projects involving I&C and power activities.
• Implement rapid response plant modifications from design through startup.
• Perform engineering design and analysis to propose solutions.
• Coordinate and direct designers and craft personnel during implementation.
• Create project schedules and budgets, track progress and spend.
• Develop scopes of work and bid packages.
• Support Operations, Maintenance, Work Management and Reliability Engineering.
• Participate in hazard and safety analysis reviews.
