Job summary

Lab37 Robotics in Pittsburgh is seeking an EDS/Schematic/Harness Engineer to own electrical distribution systems and wire-harness design for robotic food-production systems. You will translate architecture into robust power and data distribution, manage E-CAD libraries, and drive production release and field support.

You will work with cross-functional teams to define interfaces, ensure manufacturability, and maintain documentation standards across schematics, wiring, and BOMs.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and releasing electrical distribution or wire-harness systems.
• Proficiency with database-driven ECAD platforms and library management.
• Ability to produce complete harness documentation packages.

Responsibilities

• Lead migration of electrical system design into a database-driven ECAD platform with libraries and templates.
• Create detailed system schematics, harness designs, pinouts, wire lists, BOMs, and installation drawings.
• Collaborate across electrical, mechanical, firmware, software, field service, and manufacturing teams to resolve design tradeoffs.
• Support prototype builds, system integration, and validation; conduct tests and root-cause issues.
• Coordinate with harness suppliers and production for DFM/DFA and transition to production.
