Job summary

Lab37 Robotics is seeking an Electrical Systems & Harness Design Engineer to own the electrical distribution system, schematics, and wire-harness design for robotic food-production systems.

You will translate architecture into robust power and data distribution designs within an enterprise E-CAD platform, driving from schematic and harness development through prototype, validation, production release and field support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years designing and releasing electrical distribution or wire-harness systems for robotics or similar products.
• Experience with database-driven E-CAD, libraries, BOMs and configuration-controlled release.

Responsibilities

• Lead migration of electrical system designs into an enterprise E-CAD platform with libraries and templates.
• Create schematics, harness designs, pinouts, wire lists, BOMs and manufacturing drawings; manage releases.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve routing, packaging, grounding, shielding and tradeoffs.
• Support prototype builds, validation, testing and root-cause analysis; ensure design aligns with hardware.
• Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturing on DFM/DFA and transition to production.
