Job summary

Lab37 Robotics seeks an Electrical Systems & Harness Design Engineer to own electrical distribution, schematics, and wire-harness design for robotic food-production systems. You will drive the migration to a database-driven E-CAD platform and ensure robust, manufacturable designs, collaborating across engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers.

The role involves prototype support, design validation, and production release, with emphasis on library management, documentation standards, and revision

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or related field.
• 5+ years designing and releasing electrical distribution or wire-harness systems for robotics or similar complex electromechanical products.
• Experience with a database-driven electrical design or harness engineering platform and library administration.
• Proven ability to produce complete harness documentation: schematics, harness drawings, pinouts, BOMs, assembly docs.

Responsibilities

• Lead migration of electrical design into a database-driven enterprise E-CAD platform and verify migration accuracy.
• Translate system architecture into detailed schematics, harness designs, BOMs, and installation drawings; own release and configuration control.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve component selection, routing, packaging, grounding, shielding, and interface details.
• Support prototype builds, system integration, validation, and root-cause electrical issues; keep documentation aligned with hardware.
• Coordinate with suppliers and production teams on DFM/DFA, first articles, and transition to production and field support.
