Job summary
Proactive Global is seeking a Senior Electrical Hardware Design Engineer to lead the design of motor control panels for conveyor and material handling systems. You will act as the controls hardware project lead, creating complete electrical drawing sets that meet customer specs and company standards.
Responsibilities include defining specifications, producing detailed schematic and panel layouts, and ensuring compliance with applicable codes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field required.
- 7–10+ years of experience in material handling designing systems for customers in freight and parcel industries desired.
- Expert level knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical and related software to develop electrical control drawings and schematics.
- Familiarity with UL508A, NFPA, and related electrical codes is essential.
Responsibilities
- Confer with sales engineers, project managers, customers and others to discuss project specs and design requirements.
- Prepare detailed drawing sets including power feed calculations, 480V power schematics, 120V control schematics, I/O drawings and PLC/panel layouts.
- Prepare specifications for purchasing materials and equipment.
- Operate engineering CAD software to perform tasks.
- Inspect and test motor control panels for compliance with design standards and specifications.
