Job summary

Diversified Automation, Inc. is seeking an Electrical controls hardware designer to design motor control panels and related systems for conveyor and material handling equipment.

You will perform power feed calculations and develop 480V and 120V control schematics, I/O drawings, field layouts, PLC and panel design, and support commissioning and checkout activities. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required along with strong problem solving and adherence to applicable codes and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Experience designing motor control panels and related systems preferred.
• Familiarity with codes and standards for electrical hardware design.

Responsibilities

• Confer with sales engineers, project managers, customers to discuss project specifications and design requirements.
• Prepare detailed drawing sets: power feed calculations, 480V and 120V schematics, I/O drawings, PLC layout/design, panel layout/design.
• Prepare material specifications for procurement of components and equipment.
• Operate CAD/engineering software to execute tasks.
• Inspect, audit and test motor control panels for conformance to design standards.
