Job summary

Engineering Systems, Inc. (ESi) seeks a senior electrical engineer with extensive consulting and forensic investigation experience to lead complex projects. You will perform engineering analyses, inspect sites, and prepare technical reports with expert opinions.

The role involves presenting at depositions/trials, mentoring junior staff, and supporting business development while traveling nationally as needed. PE licensure and a strong command of NEC/IEEE are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required; PE license required.
10–15 years of electrical engineering consulting, design or forensic investigation.
Experience with NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE standards and OSHA regulations.
Track record of high‑quality technical reports and expert testimony desirable.
Ability to travel occasionally for national practice.

Responsibilities

Investigates electrical system failures, equipment malfunctions, and related issues.
Performs engineering analysis using NEC/NFPA/IEEE standards and OSHA rules.
Conducts field inspections of electrical systems and installations.
Authors high‑quality technical reports and provides expert opinions.
Provides expert testimony at depositions and trials.
Delivers client presentations and develops project staffing plans.
Mentors junior staff and supports business development activities.
