Job summary

Engineering Systems Inc. seeks a seasoned Electrical Engineer with a PE license for our Atlanta-area practice.

You will lead forensic investigations, design reviews, and expert analyses for complex electrical systems across industries. Applicants should have 5–10 years in electrical engineering consulting or related fields, a strong command of NEC/NFPA 70E/IEEE/OSHA, and proven report writing and client-facing skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
  • P.E. license required; Master’s/PhD preferred.
  • 5–10 years of experience in electrical engineering consulting, design, or forensic investigation.
  • Knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE, and OSHA standards.
  • Strong verbal and written communication; ability to develop client relationships.
  • Must be available to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

  • Investigates electrical system failures, equipment malfunctions, construction defects, electrical fires, and shock incidents.
  • Performs engineering analyses per NEC/NFPA/IEEE/OSHA standards.
  • Conducts field inspections of electrical systems, equipment, and installations.
  • Authors high-quality technical reports and supports expert opinions.
  • Provides expert testimony at deposition and trial, or supports senior testifying experts.
  • Develops client presentations and coordinates project duties and scope.
  • Coordinates projects within schedule and budget; collaborates with BD to identify clients.
