Job summary

Helix Electric in Sandy, UT is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead day-to-day field operations on electrical trades, driving safety, schedule, and quality on the project.

You will supervise journeymen, apprentices, and leads, coordinate with the general contractor and other trades, manage material and equipment needs, and ensure installations comply with NEC/code requirements while maintaining accurate field documentation and a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in electrical trades with progressive field leadership.
• Active journeyman or master electrician license in the state of hire.
• Experience delivering commercial/industrial electrical projects on schedule and within budget.
• Strong knowledge of NEC and NFPA 70E safety practices.
• Proficient reading/interpreting plans and shop drawings.

Responsibilities

• Lead field installations to meet project schedule, budget, and quality targets.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop field personnel; set clear expectations and provide feedback.
• Coordinate staffing, material, and equipment needs; oversee procurement planning.
• Oversee QA/QC, inspections, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Maintain accurate field documentation and safety-first culture.
