Job summary

Helix Electric is seeking a Superintendent to lead the installation and execution of large-scale electrical projects. The role emphasizes safety leadership, schedule adherence, and collaboration with multiple teams on busy construction sites.

You will supervise 15+ electricians, coordinate subcontractors, manage field administration, and work with prefabrication, purchasing, and accounting to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery. A strong background in building codes and OSHA 30 is preferred.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Trade Certification in a related Construction trade will be considered an asset.
• Proven track record of delivering safe projects on schedule and within budget.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to perform a variety of tasks under multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
• Demonstrated leadership skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in MS Office Suite
• Excellent knowledge of the Building Codes
• Preferred certifications: OSHA 30, CPR First Aid

Responsibilities

• Lead safety and environmental programs on projects
• Monitor job costing, quality reporting, forecasting and productivity
• Coordinate labor, materials, and equipment
• Complete field administration including timesheets and diaries
• Organize and coordinate all subcontractor activities
• Implement and monitor the construction plan; scheduling and logistics
• Supervise, mentor, and develop field personnel (15+ electricians)
• Participate in field work activities and operate tools when required
• Collaborate with prefabrication, purchasing, and accounting teams
