Job summary

Siemens AG is seeking a Senior Field Service Engineer - Electrical Services to support I&C on power distribution equipment at Hyper-Scale Data Center sites. Responsibilities include configuring communication devices, testing, troubleshooting, and installing MV/LV switchgear and related components.

The role requires deep experience in electrical systems, protective relays, and field service with substantial travel across U.S. sites.

Qualifications

• 5+ years troubleshooting electrical control circuits and ability to obtain thermography certification.
• 5+ years installation/maintenance of Power Automation Switchboards.
• 5+ years using electrical test sets for AC/DC high potential testing and transformer tests.
• Ability to read bills of materials, electrical blueprints, and power system study reports.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Create test scripts and MOPs for Data Centers Cx activities.
• Set up communication devices and topology of industrial networks; upload HMI/PLC programs; install I/O and CPUs.
• Integrate 3rd party EPMS; perform initial testing, operation, troubleshooting and modification of customer equipment.
• Test and analyze MV/LV circuit breakers, switchgear, and related equipment.
• Perform equipment condition assessments and electrical control circuit troubleshooting.
• Provide on-site support with programming, start-up, checkout, commissioning and validation; train customer staff.
• Deliver customer training, submit job activity reports, and maintain specialized tools and calibration items.
• Be available for emergency and relief assignments.
