Job summary

Siemens is hiring a Senior Field Service Engineer / Senior Electrical Services Specialist to manage I&C on power distribution equipment at Hyper-Scale Data Center sites. You will set up devices, install I/O/CPUs, and integrate EPMS, performing testing, operation, troubleshooting and modifications for MV/LV switchgear, transformers, and relays.

The role involves site work, developing test scripts, labor estimates, and on-site customer training.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical control circuits and ability to obtain thermography certification.
• 5+ years of experience in the installation and/or maintenance of Power Automation Switchboards.
• 5+ years of experience using electrical test sets to perform AC and DC high potential testing, transformer turns ratio testing, transformer power factor testing, and other power system test practices and procedures.
• Skills at interpreting protective coordination studies and testing and configuring protective relays.
• Ability to read bills of material, electrical blueprints, and power system study reports.
• Familiarity with ANSI, NEC, NFPA, IEEE, and NETA codes and standards.
• Able to carry and move equipment weighing up to 75 pounds unassisted.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Willing to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Create test scripts and MOP (Methods of Procedures) related to Data Centers Cx activities.
• Setting communication devices and topology industrial networks; uploading HMI/ PLC programs; installation of I/O and CPUs
• Integration of 3rd Party EPMS; initial testing, operation, troubleshooting and modification of customer equipment and systems
• MV or LV Circuit breakers; metal clad/vacuum switchgear; breakers or LV equipment testing; analyzing test results
• Equipment Condition Assessments
• Electrical Control Circuits Troubleshooting & Repair
• Provide on-site assistance with programming, start-up, checkout, commissioning, and validation processes. Train customer staff and provide expert advice.
• Provide instructions to customer personnel regarding proper operation and inspections; train customers to maintain complex equipment.
• Must be available to respond to emergency and relief assignments.
