Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a Lead Electrical Field Engineer to organize and direct electrical construction engineering activities for the Fab 62 project in Chandler, AZ. The role provides technical direction, coordinates with design, procurement, and client representatives, and supports safe, cost-effective construction execution.

The position requires strong leadership, extensive knowledge of electrical construction, and experience managing field engineering teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or international equivalent) and 8–10 years of relevant experience OR 12–14 years in lieu of degree.
Strong leadership and communication skills; ability to manage multiple priorities in a field environment.
Experience coordinating electrical construction with Design Engineering, Project Controls, Procurement, Quality, subcontractors, and client representatives.

Responsibilities

Provide technical and administrative direction to electrical Field Engineers and other construction engineering personnel.
Coordinate with Design Engineering on constructability, design issues, and field changes.
Lead electrical quantity takeoff, installed-quantity verification, and maintenance of field records.
Plan electrical construction methods, sequencing, and material requirements with Superintendents and subcontractors.
Review drawings, vendor data, codes, and procedures to ensure design conformance and safety.
