Job summary

Bechtel, Fab 62 for Intel in Chandler, AZ, seeks a lead construction engineering professional to organize mechanical field construction activities, supervise engineers, and liaison with design teams. You will interpret drawings, verify materials, and drive technical decisions on a highly demanding chipmaking facility.

Responsibilities include directing engineers and subcontractors, managing cost and schedule, and ensuring adherence to engineering standards and SWPPs throughout the project

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with 8–10 years of relevant experience, or 12–14 years of experience total.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical and administrative direction to assigned subordinate construction engineers.
• Coordinates with engineering on constructability and design issues.
• Establishes a Design/Field Engineering relationship with the Area Engineer and negotiates engineering deliverables.
• Responsible for quantity take-off, control, reporting and forecasting.
• Directs the design of temporary construction facilities as required.
• Coordinates interfacing between the construction automation plan and project controls at the jobsite.
• Directs preparation of cost estimates and coordination of cost reports, forecasts and progress reports.
• Reviews project controls documents for cost and schedule input.
• Develops and enforces SWPP procedures and deviations from SWPPs.
• Coordinates with superintendents and subcontractors to plan construction schedules.
