Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator / Quantity Surveyor to join our consultancy team supporting the delivery of a major semiconductor manufacturing facility.

The successful candidate will independently prepare electrical cost estimates, quantity take-offs, and commercial management of complex electrical building services and process utility installations, with a focus on accuracy, value engineering, and collaborating with clients and contractors.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Quantity Surveying/estimating in construction.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts.
• RICS accreditation or working towards it is valuable.

Responsibilities

• Provide commercial management support for specialist electrical systems.
• Assess proposals, bid interviews, and manage the appointment process.
• Review and negotiate variations, change orders, and compensation events.
• Perform cost comparisons and high-level reviews of change orders.
• Benchmark performance and support change management in fast-track design and construction.
