Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Senior Electrical Construction Estimator to join our team in an on-site capacity. The ideal candidate will deliver detailed cost estimates for electrical systems, review plans, and lead cost management efforts to ensure project success.

Responsibilities include developing cost plans, performing risk analysis, and providing value engineering options while collaborating with clients and project teams. SOX controls may apply where relevant.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or field related to construction.
• Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in a construction cost management role such as Cost Manager, Quantity Surveyor, Estimator, Cost Engineer, Project Engineer, or Project Cost Controls.
• Experience supporting large scale construction projects and programs.

• Lead the development of comprehensive cost management plans with project teams.

• Utilize industry-specific estimating software and tools to prepare estimates.
• Provide estimating advice, guidance, and analysis to project stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry-specific estimating processes and methodologies.
• Prepare formal estimating reports, including quantity, cost, escalation, and other assumptions and clarifications.
• Mentor and support junior estimators, fostering their professional development and promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.

• Experience providing conceptual estimating services and/or pre-construction services at a construction management or related firm.
• Experience supporting large scale construction projects and programs
• Good knowledge of construction industry technical matters, such as value management and value engineering.

Additional Information

The salary range for this full-time role is$145K-$150Kper year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package. Please note Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on candidate’s experience and qualifications.
