ProSource Group in New York City seeks an experienced Electrical Estimator to support its project pipeline, focusing on commercial electrical work across NYC, including interiors, developments, mission-critical facilities, and upgrades.

The role requires 5+ years in electrical estimating, ability to read drawings, prepare labor and material takeoffs, source pricing, and collaborate with senior leadership from bid to handover.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of electrical estimating experience in the construction industry.
• Strong ability to read electrical drawings, specs, and one-line diagrams.
• Experience calculating labor, materials, equipment, vendor, and subcontractor costs.
• Familiarity with electrical estimating and takeoff platforms; Bluebeam experience is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive estimates for power distribution, lighting, controls, switchgear, feeders, and related systems.
• Analyze plans, specs, addenda, and tender documents to determine scope and cost exposure.
• Produce detailed labor and material takeoffs with productivity factors.
• Source and evaluate pricing from suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Prepare bid qualifications, clarifications, exclusions, and supporting docs.
• Identify value-engineering opportunities and contribute to competitive bid approaches.
• Collaborate with senior leadership during bid reviews and final submissions.
• Provide comprehensive estimate handovers to project management after awards.
