Job summary

Gryphon Oakwood, partnered with a leading electrical contractor, seeks a Chief Estimator for major commercial projects in the New York market. This senior role leads a team of up to 10 estimators and oversees bids ranging from $25M to $1B+.

You will review drawings and specifications, manage vendor and subcontractor pricing, identify risks and value-engineering opportunities, and support preconstruction and executive leadership.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of electrical estimating experience.
• Strong commercial electrical construction background.
• Proven experience leading estimating teams.
• Experience with large-scale electrical projects.
• Strong understanding of electrical construction, labor, and material pricing.
• Proficiency with estimating and takeoff software.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop a team of 10 estimators.
• Lead estimates and bids for $25M–$1B+ electrical projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, and project scope.
• Manage vendor and subcontractor pricing.
• Identify risks and value-engineering opportunities.
