The role focuses on preparing competitive estimates for complex electrical construction projects and collaborating with operations, project management, and clients.

The position targets large-scale commercial, data center, and mission-critical facilities with long-term career growth in a well-established contractor.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of electrical estimating experience with an electrical contractor.
• Proven experience estimating electrical construction projects valued at $25M+
• Strong understanding of commercial, mission-critical, industrial, healthcare, or infrastructure projects
• Experience producing both conceptual and detailed estimates
• Proficiency with Accubid, Bluebeam, ConEst, McCormick, or similar estimating software
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Stable employment history with demonstrated career progression
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced preconstruction environment

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed conceptual, budgetary, and hard-bid electrical estimates
• Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to determine project requirements
• Perform complete quantity takeoffs and labor calculations
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing
• Analyze project risks, opportunities, and cost impacts
• Participate in preconstruction meetings and client presentations
• Work closely with operations teams to ensure smooth project handoff
• Support value engineering initiatives and alternative design solutions
• Assist in developing estimating standards, processes, and best practices
• Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, general contractors, engineers, and suppliers
