The Senior Estimator guides scope development, risk assessment, and bid strategy, balancing team delegation with self-performance while ensuring quality and timely submissions.

Qualifications

• Experience leading low voltage estimates over $2 million.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam for quantity takeoffs and with ConEst or comparable assembly-based estimating software.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint).
• Strong understanding of contracting methods, RFP compliance, scope development, proposal strategy, and change-order pricing.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of complete, accurate, and competitive responses to RFPs.
• Review project plans, specs, bid docs, codes, standards, schedules to define scope and estimating approach.
• Identify conflicts, omissions, scope gaps, and constructability concerns; coordinate clarifications and solutions.
• Develop estimate plans, bid schedules, work assignments, and closeout requirements for pursuits.
• Lead estimate kickoff, progress review, risk review, and bid close meetings.
• Perform quality-control reviews of takeoffs, pricing, labor, quotations, and proposal documents.
