Job summary

Chapel Electric Co., LLC is seeking a Senior Estimator in Dayton, Ohio to lead the estimation of contract work, interpret complex construction documents, and forecast project costs. You will work closely with Owners, Construction and Project Managers to develop accurate, timely estimates and support pre-bid activities.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of estimating experience, strong math and documentation skills, and proficiency in Accubid and MS Office.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience estimating
• Strong understanding of construction documents and math skills
• Accubid experience is a plus
• Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and strong written/verbal communication
• Ability to lead and coordinate multiple projects

Responsibilities

• Analyze, review and interpret engineering contracts, plans and specifications to develop detailed, comprehensive construction estimates for both small and large projects.
• Complete estimate take-off, within time deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Accurately define project requirements.
• Obtain quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and ensure complete scope of work required.
• Assist in determining project resource requirements in alignment with company goals and objectives.
• Provide liaison support to all internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure all estimates submitted are as accurate and complete as possible.
• Provide timely project turnover documentation from Estimating to Project Management.
