Job summary

Chapel Electric Co., LLC in Dayton, Ohio, is seeking a junior estimator/estimator in training to join our preconstruction and estimating team. You will help develop detailed construction estimates, interpret drawings, and work closely with Owners, Construction and Project Managers.

Ideal candidates bring strong math skills, 5+ years estimating experience, and knowledge of take-offs. Accubid experience is a plus. This is a full-time exempt position with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction estimating experience.
• Strong understanding of construction documentation and math.
• Accubid experience is a plus.
• Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Excellent written and verbal communications; ability to lead and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, review and interpret contracts, plans and specs to develop estimates for small and large projects.
• Complete estimate take-off within deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Accurately define project requirements.
• Obtain quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and verify complete scope of work.
• Assist in determining project resource requirements.
• Provide liaison support to internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure estimates submitted are accurate and complete.
• Provide turnover documentation from Estimating to Project Management.
