Job summary

The ideal candidate will have 5–10 years of electrical estimating experience, a 4-year degree in electrical engineering or construction management, proficiency with estimating software and MS Office, and strong analytical and communication skills to present findings to clients

Qualifications

• 4-year college degree in Electrical Engineering or Construction Management.
• 5-10 years’ relevant experience in electrical estimating.
• Knowledge and use of industry-estimating software and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates based on drawings and specifications.
• Review construction plans and specifications to prepare estimates for all scopes from schematic through final design for new construction and renovation projects.
• Prepare value engineering, cost option and cost strategy estimates.
• Prepare independent post contract estimates, including reporting differences in scope, quantities, and pricing from contractor’s estimate.
• Lead estimating team activities, review estimates prior to supervisor final review.
• Forecast costs for future projects and changes to existing projects.
