Job summary

NR Consulting in Dallas, TX is seeking a Senior Electrical Estimator to accurately estimate costs for industrial projects and craft detailed proposals for manufacturing clients. Mastering construction estimating, project management, and client relations, you will help ensure project success.

A Master Electrician license is a plus. The role emphasizes reviewing plans, visiting sites, analyzing costs, negotiating with suppliers, and using estimating software to monitor project expenses and support

Qualifications

• Strong commercial and industrial estimating experience.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, plans, and specifications.
• Familiarity with contract documents such as NEC (New Engineering Contract).
• Excellent mathematical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for electrical and industrial controls and construction projects.
• Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to determine project requirements.
• Conduct site visits to assess project scope and conditions.
• Analyse labour, material, and equipment costs to determine project expenses.
• Identify potential risks and challenges that may impact project costs.
• Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
• Utilize industry-standard software to create comprehensive estimates.
• Monitor and track project costs throughout the project.
• Collaborate with the construction management team to ensure cost control measures are implemented.
