Calqulate Metrics Ltd. is seeking a Sr. Electrical Estimator for industrial EPC and data center construction. The role is fully onsite in Houston, TX, with 40–45 hours per week and nationwide project opportunities.

The ideal candidate brings strong electrical estimating experience across industrial sectors, ability to interpret complex drawings, and proficiency with Excel and estimating software. Travel nationwide is required as needed.

Qualifications

• Electrical estimating experience in industrial, commercial, EPC, or mission-critical projects.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specs, and construction documents.
• Excel proficiency; familiarity with estimating software like Bluebeam, McCormick, Accubid.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed electrical and instrumentation estimates for complex projects.
• Review drawings and bid documents to determine scope and requirements.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and calculate material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations for accuracy and competitiveness.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams through bidding.
• Analyze labor productivity, material pricing, and project-specific cost considerations.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and project walkdowns.
• Develop proposal documentation and final bid packages.
• Maintain historical cost data and support improvements in estimating accuracy.
